Books about Saudi Arabia.

“Books make great gifts because they have whole worlds inside of them. And it’s much cheaper to buy somebody a book than it is to buy them the whole world!” ― Neil Gaiman

I love books. And photo albums. Any kind of printed matter.

A go-to place for books in Saudi Arabia is Jarir Bookstore (there’s probably no better option).

Once you enter the store you will probably first see shelves with all kinds of electronic gadgetry (this stuff is unfortunately more popular nowadays and marketers know where to display the most-sought items. Besides, electronic items might cost less in Saudi Arabia than in other countries). Ask your way to the Book Section. Chose postcards, photo albums with pictures of Saudi Arabia or historic books about the Kingdom in the English language.

You might want to look through their website before you go.

Some stores located in large malls, easy to combine your mall shopping with a visit to Jarir.

Another option for book shopping is Virgin Megastore. I can’t say they have a large collection of English books about Saudi Arabia, but still worth to try.

You have a good chance to find magazines about Saudi Arabia in English there. One of the popular magazines is Destination KSA
